Our new client, Serif makes the brilliant Digital Scrapbook Artist software, so we’ve been getting to grips with digital scrapbooking and creating our own masterpieces left right and centre, taking us all back to our school days.
So that got me thinking, when I was younger, scrapbooking was all the rage, whether it was for a school project, a family holiday or just as a channel to communicate my love of pop bands like Take That, I was always scrapbooking something!
Now I don’t have kids, so I can’t speak from experience, but I’m pretty sure that with the summer holidays just around the corner, parents everywhere will be asking the question: ‘What am I going to do with the kids for six weeks?’
I know kids like to be creative, I’ve seen the familiar site of personalised folders and bags being carried on their way to school. So my suggestion would be to give digital scrapbooking a try – you can keep all your holiday memories in one place, by scanning in ticket stubs, brochures and uploading your photographs and Digital Scrapbook Artist lets you organise them in the way that you like to create either full scrapbooks or a simple page.
Once made, you can upload your creations onto www.daisytrail.com a social network for scrap-bookers!
So no, it won’t exactly fill six weeks, but it is a great activity for a rainy day whatever your age! Check out some of the recent creations here: http://www.daisytrail.com/community.html
