Six Degrees - Yule blog raises cash for charity

It has become a tradition for Six Degrees to donate to charity the money it would otherwise spend on Christmas cards.

This year the Six Degrees team decided to go beyond the usual electronic card, and be a bit more ambitious while retaining the principle of donating money to charity. A specially created Yule Blog, produced with the assistance of sister-company, ArtHaus, was a genuine team effort.

Employees created the content of the blog which took a light-hearted look at the Christmas season, including hints, tips and jokes for readers to enjoy.

The charity contribution received top billing. Readers were invited to vote for one of the three causes that employees had selected: BBC Children in Need, the Anthony Nolan Trust and the PDSA.

Nearly 100 votes were cast by clients and friends. The result was that 53% of the £500 charity donation went to Children in Need, 36% to the Anthony Nolan Trust and 12% to the PDSA.
