May 2007 - Six Degrees, has been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s SABRE Awards 2007, widely considered to be the most prestigious awards in the European PR industry.

The nominations are for one of the agency’s flagship clients, Skype for its ‘Talk for Britain’ campaign in the Consumer Technology category; and for web security client, ScanSafe for ‘Launching Scandoo: traffic lights for the web’ in the UK and Ireland category.

Six Degrees partner agency in Germany has also been shortlisted for its work on Skype.

The SABRE Awards – standing for Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation – recognise excellence in public relations for measurable business campaigns and are open to agencies and in-house PR teams across Europe. This year the judges received more than 1,400 entries, more than twice as many as last year, with just 250 making the final cut.

Six Degrees’s managing director, Jennifer Janson, is thrilled to be among the finalists: “We are in very good company, with some of the largest agencies and PR teams in Europe. Client service, creativity and delivering outstanding results are core to our business culture, and being recognised by our peers in the industry is the icing on the cake! We’re also delighted to be shortlisted in this our 30th year of business.”

Six Degrees has been a winner or finalist in 11 industry awards over the last five years.

The Awards dinner will take place on 24 May at the Maritime Museum in Barcelona. The full European SABRE Awards 2007 shortlist can be found at: http://www.holmesreport.co.uk/about/sabre_info1.cfm.
