Six Degrees has been appointed by TrekStor, a leading manufacturer of high quality MP3 players, external hard disks and USB sticks to handle its UK PR. The account win is part of the expansion of TrekStor’s German PR activity, managed by Six Degrees partner agency Schwartz PR. The expansion also includes the appointment of Eurocom PR network agencies in Spain and Italy.
TrekStor MP3 players currently outsell the iPod in Germany, and last year the company gained some notoriety after it announced it had created the world’s most expensive MP3 player. The diamond-encrusted, gold device was created for a billionaire who auctioned the product to raise money for cancer research.
As one of Germany’s fastest-growing companies, TrekStor is looking to take the UK by storm with its fantastic range of consumer technology products aimed at the youth market. These include the i-Beat range of MP3 players featuring 1-4 GB memory, video playback and FM radio, USB sticks and DataStation hard drives for back-up support.

The TrekStor win is Six Degrees’ latest success, with 5 other accounts secured within the last three months including Capricode and Barco. The TrekStor account will be handled by consultants Kathryn Cotsworth and Jennifer Andersson with managing director, Jennifer Janson overseeing activity.
