Six Degrees wins PRCA gold award

Six Degrees won gold last night (14 September) in the Technology category of the PRCA Frontline Awards.

The winning entry was the agency's ‘Cyber Snooping’ consumer campaign for Internet security client, Symantec. The team devised a clever theme - "How Far Would You Go?" - and developed creative consumer research, great photography and real-life case studies around whether men and women snoop on their partners and colleagues using emails and texts.

Proactive pre-briefings with the lifestyle media led to an exclusive 30-minute live slot on talkSPORT Radio, as well as pieces in The Observer ‘Life’, Executive Woman, BBC News Online and The Daily Telegraph.

Excellent teamwork, which included close co-ordination with the client's in-house PR team, led to over 35 pieces of coverage in lifestyle, national, business, IT and PC consumer media, reaching 21.9m people!

The industry body for PR consultancies, the Public Relations Consultancies Association (PRCA), set up the Frontline Awards three years ago to recognise the hard work of young consultants up to the level of account director.

The campaign has also been shortlisted for the CNET Networks UK Technology Awards 2004 which will be announced on 28 September 2004. The CNET Awards are now in their second year and the Technology PR Campaign category recognises campaigns that are creative, have a clear message and reinforce core brand values with demonstrable results.

Awards are an integral part of Six Degrees' marketing activities and we have been extremely successful over the past three years, notching up half a dozen successes for clients, including Osram, Meetingzone and Symantec.
