Six Degrees wins Innovision

Innovision Research & Technology plc, a leading developer of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies, has appointed Six Degrees to help raise awareness of its involvement in this emerging area.

RFID is a technology that uses radio waves to transmit key information over short distances. Via tiny tags and RFID readers, products can communicate information such as what they are, where they have been or where they are intended to go, and the technology has major implications for a wide variety of business sectors. In consumer electronics, for example, Nokia, Sony and Philips are backing the RFID-based Near Field Communication (NFC) standard aimed at ensuring interoperability between products and services; in the medical sector consumables can be more easily tracked; and in the transport sector, automatic fare collection for high-volume ticketing applications is possible with RFID-enabled devices.

Six Degrees will work closely with the marketing team at Innovision R&T to raise awareness in the company’s key target sectors through media and analyst relations. Sue Beard, joint managing director, heads the account team at Six Degrees.
